This tool is designed to allow the Armorer to measure and record the cant of the tang, and then use it to ensure repeatability when setting a new blade.

The Tang Gauge is a simple tool for measuring, and recording the angle, or cant, of the tang.  It can be used with all types of blades, and will work with the downward and sideways bends of the tang.  It comes with 10 pre-printed index cards for recording the particular settings for an individual fencer.  Additional cards can be ordered separately.
